Hello and welcome to the PCS Music website. Here you will find information about our general music classes, our instrumental and choral ensembles, and our spring musical. The section below will have occasional announcements about what's going on in our program!

We're already into the fourth week of classes and it feels like school just started! Our K-2 classes are getting ready to start working on their Fall Musical Revue: Bugzz! The performance will take place this Fall with the exact date and time to be announced soon. Our 3rd-5th grade classes have started working on the Modern Band curriculum with either a review or introduction of ukulele currently under way! The after school 3rd-5th grade choir will be a part of the after school enrichment program this year. The group will meet on Wednesdays and Thursdays after school beginning October 1st and ending with the Winter Fest concert at Next Stage on December 18th. If your child is interested, please look out for an email and sign up form for after school enrichment. This wil come from the office. 4th and 5th grade students who are interested in joining the beginning concert band will start up next week. Please watch out for band sign up slips coming home if your student is interested! Our Middle School music elective courses are selecting their music and beginning to work on putting together programming for December concerts. The Jazz Band, Modern Band and Music in Media class will be performing and sharing their work on Jam Fest at Next Stage Arts on Wednesday, December 17th and the Choir and concert band will perform in Winter Fest, taking place at Next Stage Arts on Thursday, December 18th. 8/13/2025 A new school year is upon us and exciting music is coming with it! This Fall, our middle school students will have opportunities to participate in concert band, jazz band, modern band, choir, and music in media courses. Students in 3rd - 5th grade should be on the look out for sign ups for the after school Intermediate Choir which will be meeting twice a week. 4th and 5th grade students should also be looking out for the opportunity to sign up for beginning band. 10/3/2024 Wow. what a quick start to the new school year! Our primary classes are back into their routines, singing games, and starting to sight sing and work on percussion instruments! Our 3rd-5th graders are hard at work learning through our Modern Band program where they will be playing writing, and listening to all kinds of music from the modern band world. Our Middle school students are making digital music through our music in media course, putting together bands in modern band, and they're diving into new music in band and choir! We're excited to start preparing public performances coming later this school year! |
