10/3/2024
Wow. what a quick start to the new school year! Our primary classes are back into their routines, singing games, and starting to sight sing and work on percussion instruments! Our 3rd-5th graders are hard at work learning through our Modern Band program where they will be playing writing, and listening to all kinds of music from the modern band world. Our Middle school students are making digital music through our music in media course, putting together bands in modern band, and they're diving into new music in band and choir! We're excited to start preparing public performances coming later this school year!

Several performances have come and gone over the course of the winter and early spring! A huge congrats to all of our students in Pre-K - 2nd grade for an amazing performance of Songs for the Winter. Our Middle School Choir and Band students had wonderful showings at the All District Band and Choir events where they had the chance to perform with all of their peers across the district! Finally, a big thank you to all of the parents, staff and students who worked so hard to put on the very successful run of Willy Wonka Jr. in April. 

Coming up, we have the Middle School Jam Fest  at Next Stage (May 22), Putney Palooza (May 30), and Finally our Ice Cream Social (June 6). Please note that the date for the Ice Cream Social was moved to accommodate a conflicting performance for several of our students.

We have lots of important dates and shows coming up this winter; starting with the Pre-K - 2 performance of Songs for the Winter (December 21st). Check out our concert dates and information in the concerts section of this website. 

Also, auditions for WIlly Wonka Jr. will take place on December 18th and 19th. This show is open to all students in 3rd through 8th grade. Find more information on the PCS After School Website.

Congrats to our Middle School Choir, Middle School Concert Band, and Intermediate Choir students on a wonderful performance in last week's Fall Fest! Now it's time to start getting ready for January's Winter Fest.
