Primary General Music
Our Pre-K to 2nd grade students learn how to sing, move, and listen to a variety of music. They also spend time building skills that lead to independent singing, note reading, song writing, instrumental performance and an overall appreciation and understanding of music in our lives. |
Intermediate General Music
Our 3rd through 5th grade students learn about the structure, performance, and creation of music through a modern band curriculum. This includes learning to play instruments including Ukulele, Guitar, Bass, Piano, and Drums at a basic level before choosing an instrument to focus on. Middle School Electives
At Putney Central, our Middle School students have the opportunity to select the classes they want to take in Music, Art, P.E., Library, and Language. Current and past music electives include; Choir, Concert Band, Modern Band, Music in Media, Podcasting, and Song Writing.
